Why are there two semaglutide dosing charts?
Healthy Resolutions uses separate charts for 2.5 mg/mL and 5 mg/mL semaglutide concentrations. The number of syringe units needed for a prescribed milligram dose changes depending on the concentration of medication in your vial.
Which chart should I use?
Check your prescription label. Patients with a 2.5 mg/mL concentration should use the 2.5 mg/mL chart. Patients with a 5 mg/mL concentration should use the 5 mg/mL chart. Do not use a chart that does not exactly match your vial concentration.
Are milligrams and insulin units the same?
No. Milligrams describe the amount of medication prescribed. Units on a U-100 insulin syringe describe the volume drawn into the syringe. The conversion depends on the medication concentration.
Can I increase my dose using this chart?
No. These charts are measurement references only. Dose changes should be made only according to the instructions provided by your medical provider.
What if my vial does not match either concentration?
Do not guess the conversion or injection amount. Contact Healthy Resolutions or your dispensing pharmacy before administering the medication.
